Wow! Looks like you got a lot of responses from people that donโ€™t know much about Democratic Socialism. I would suggest they do a deeper dive and get some more info, before they throw out the baby with the bathwater! They must know that the one form of government to be avoided at ALL costs is FASCISM!!!๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโœŠ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Thank you greatly AmzGrace14k !!! I've been waiting forever for someone else to agree with me on that! To hell with people who don't like short answers. Yours is perfect. I know exactly what you mean! Can you imagine what this country would be like without any conservatism. Any right-wing ideology! Any right-wingers of any kind voting or ruling anywhere!

Canadian here (so pretty well aware of what social democracy is and the part that is not good). I am a centrist, believing everything in moderation as no side is completely virtuous. Fully believe in capitalism with guardrails. Itโ€™s the only way to be prosperous as a society. Even the Chinese eventually figured this out and went this way while controlling society through autocratic rule. And theyโ€™re kicking butt at it. Iโ€™m a firm believer in national medical care and universal secondary education. A country that is healthy and smart is the key to continued prosperity and dynamism. National health care isnโ€™t perfect but its outcomes are excellent if not overburdened. Frustration arises with speed of access but its triage system works to keep the citizenry as healthy and robust as possible for a reasonable cost. Much cheaper than the US system and excellent results. A work in progress but everyone is able to be helped and not go broke personally. Thatโ€™s compassion at its best. But weโ€™re still tinkering with that. We added national dental plan for those over 65 recently. Expensive but if left at that we can manage. Universality will be costly and with 5% GDP pledge for military spending likely never to come to pass. Itโ€™s worth fighting for this so the US is healthier and the debt will be less. But if those wealthier Americans donโ€™t see the negative outcome of having a huge part of the population poor and unhealthy and agree to help them, then not much will change for 50% of Americans. Having said that, capitalism is still the way, just with FDR social mentality. Fiscal conservatism and liberal social sensibilities in the FDR way.

Dumb people vote Republican because they're too dumb to realize they're being lied to, and that they vote against their own best interests.

That's what that article you didn't read was about. Here's another article for you to ignore, because ignoring info is what dumb people do.

Albert Einstein opposed nuclear weapons and spent his post-war years advocating for their control and abolition, though he initially signed a letter to President Roosevelt urging the US to develop them out of fear that Nazi Germany would do so first.

He later deeply regretted his indirect role in the Manhattan Project, calling it his "one great mistake" and a pivotal moment that led to a world with the threat of universal death.

Initial involvement: In 1939, Einstein and physicist Leo Szilรกrd wrote a letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt warning that Germany might be developing an atomic bomb and suggesting the U.S. start its own research.

Regret and pacifism: After the bombs were dropped on Japan, Einstein expressed great regret, stating, "Had I known that the Germans would not succeed in producing an atomic bomb, I would have never lifted a finger". He was a pacifist and had no direct role in the Manhattan Project, as he was denied a security clearance.

Post-war advocacy: Following the war, Einstein became a vocal advocate against nuclear proliferation and for nuclear disarmament. He became the chairman of the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists in 1946 and worked with others to warn the public and call for international cooperation.

Advocacy for world government: Einstein believed that the only way to truly prevent nuclear war was through the creation of a world government with the power to control military matters and prevent any single nation from waging war.

"Sly" doesn't equal "Smart". Comprehensive intelligence factors a system of maximum benefit for maximum people. The Republican Party hasn't been about that for a very, very long time. They can't even be bothered with sustainable system since the 80s. Capitalism is extractive.

NEVER FORGET

ALBERT EINSTEIN & JESUS WERE BOTH SOCIALISTS!! Albert Einstein, who wrote an essay titled "Why Socialism?" and advocated for a socialist economy with a planned economy that adjusts production to the needs of the community. He believed this would eliminate the evils of capitalism, such as the instability caused by competition and the profit motive. However, he was wary of the potential for a socialist bureaucracy to become too powerful and called for protections for individual rights.ย  IMAGINE THAT "CHRISTIAN" MAGAT REPUBLIKKKANS, THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD WAS A SOCIALIST AND KNEW #AMERICANCAPITALISM WAS AN EVIL VILE DISGUSTING SCAM, JUST LIKE JESUS!!! Einstein was Jewish and promoted peace, understanding and connection between all people and other minorities.

.

He invested heavily in the black community.

Einstein was also barred from Princeton from teaching at Princeton so the created a separate Jewish Princeton for him. Jewish Princeton is still there. It says a lot about where we were as a country after a world war that we had to create a separate college for the greatest mind in the world.

So No. Mamdomi is not like Einstein. They are not the same. Mamdomi dislike of Jews and Israel puts him in the same camp as old Princeton.
