Fools to cancel him. I’ll watch him wherever he goes.

I watch(ed?) him from South Africa. Please let me know where he goes and my wish is that he gets a bigger, better deal wherever he goes!

CBS has made a big mistake.

I hope they flounder 🐠

He’s awesome. The only late night show I have any interest in. They’re idiots and cowards for cancelling him.

Time to boycott CBS 😡🤬

Yes! Boycott CBS & Paramount

Always our biggest power is with our money. It may seem inconsequential, but if millions cancel a subscription, it’ll surely be noticed and may make the shareholders think.

Sometimes the truth hurts , I feel that Mr Colbert had a justification for his comments and while CBS fired him over these coments it wiill hurt CBS more than Mr Colbert.

Rita A Pignato's avatar

I hope it does hurt CBS. Definitely a political move on spineless CBS.

Love the Colbert show. It will be sorry missed. They are stupid to cancel him.

I had no idea until I read this. I had just finished watching the Thursday night Colbert show with Adam Schiff. Why with they cancel one of the most popular late night shows on TV?

… for the same cowardly reasons they paid the bribe to Trump to settle the lawsuit. Fear is the favourite tool of a fascist. Instill fear and you silence opposition. Especially when the court of last resort is full of your minions.

Richard Bergman's avatar

It's more than just a bribe. On some level, they believe in Trump's policy of more tax favors for the obscenely wealthy, at the expense of stealing more and more from the poor.

Mark Dowding's avatar

Yes! Tariffs are a flat tax. They affect everyone who needs those goods equally — vs. income tax, which is usually progressive and makes the wealthy pay at least more than those eking out a living at the bottom. And there is the whole theme of Trump’s presidency.

Maga messaged them imo🔥

The only upside is that I’ll save on my TV subscription next year. Stephen’s the only thing worth watching! And most relevant, the b@$tards are killing it before the 2026 campaign even hits high gear.

Stephen Colbert is too smart for corporate types. He's got a forever fan in me.

I think we should add CBS/Skydance to the boycott list. I, for one, have not watched CBS since its news programs are not reporting the facts about Trump and his regime and sanewashing his craziness.

Kathi Kalina's avatar

Because they want approval of the CBS/Paramount merger with SkyDance media. Who gives that approval? President Cankles’ FCC and DOJ.

Debra Strunk's avatar

This is the reason. Trump wants Colbert gone and he “owns” the FCC, which could veto the deal.

Holy crap. Not to take away from your post, but you are seriously a hot man. And wonderfully intelligent too. Feel like emigrating to Canada? You might need to in the not so distant future. :)
