They won't. They never will. Asking the question nowadays is rhetorical. They want everyone to "just get used to it". In their sick minds, it's "a small price to pay for freedom to bear arms."

What a joke. How sad.

Agreed. I've been saying this for ages.

Another epidemic that the US ignores is deaths by automobiles. It's way much higher per capita in the US than Canada, in fact it's three times more. But we have similar roads, same vehicles, same basic traffic controls, same police forces, same road engineering, same safety measures, same speed limits, same basically everything.

13.4 vs 4.9 per 100,000.

And the government does nothing.

WTF?

Thanks to magat voters, the “government” that is in charge now will not be doing anything about gun regulation or auto industry reform. It’s time for everyone to understand that. And watch out for voting changes that are coming! That is where the big regulations are being done 😕

As far as the MAGAts are concerned, there shouldn't be a federal government... just 50 fifedoms. (And we all know how well that concept turned out for Europe.) We'll see how much of it is left by midterms. Read Thom Hartmann's "The Hidden History of Neoliberalism". It perfectly sums up the current state of affairs.

Guns are protected more than our children. That says volumes about corrupt USA/Republican. There should be a sign that says, “Only you can prevent child murders” Similar to “Only you can prevent forest fires”. Then again, many do not adhere to prevention.$$$

The gun cat is way out of the bag. I've lived in 2 countries with gun control and almost as many guns as the US in private hands but no mass shootings. The bottom of the problem is a culture of violence IMO. Did it all start at Columbine? I was there for prom night before the massacre and it looked normal. https://clas.ucdenver.edu/nhdc/sites/default/files/attached-files/entry_434.pdf

Same for wars: “Only you can prevent wars” Do not supply deadly nuke weapons. Many die for others greed. Human sin.

The unimaginable happens every day and I’m so sad to see yet another shooting of innocent people in the middle of NYC. We all need to be more vigilant. And we obviously need gun control laws because not everyone with guns is a responsible person. Enough already!

There are more gun control laws on the books than there are people to enforce them. Yes, when a mass shooting event happens liberal legislators have an emotional knee jerk reaction to enact more gun control laws. A bill that is passed that creates stiffer penalties for violent crimes are useless if they are not enforced. What is the root of the problem? It is not guns. I have a safe full of guns and they do not hurt anyone. Why is that? Because I am not mentally ill nor am I a criminal and I do not use them for evil purposes. The MHMR system and our criminal justice system needs a complete overhaul. It seems that we live in a increasingly violent society.
